Our Centre Manager

Dorota came to Keighley, from her native Poland, over 17 years ago. She initially worked as a Teaching Assistant in a local school, taking on the responsibility of supporting children that didn't speak English.  Dorota has subsequently gained a Foundation Degree in Working with Children and Families from Leeds Trinity University.

Dorota's unique connections within the community and her ability to speak several languages have allowed her to work collaboratively with many other agencies - council, schools, NHS, police - to provide appropriate support to some of the most vulnerable in society.

Dorota is supported by a number of trustees and volunteers, including a number of language coaches who are almost all qualified teachers. There are also several volunteers from the new communities who have benefited from the centre's services and now seek to provide support to others.
