Royal visit
The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge, William & Kate, visited Bradford on 15th January 2020. The Centre Manager was invited along to meet them, along with several other Bradford Community groups.
Dorota wrote “it was a huge honour for us to be able to meet with the Duke William and Duchess Kate of Cambridge today. I had an opportunity to talk about the work The Good Shepherd Centre does within Keighley area and about the challenges that people experience.
It's been amazing to be surrounded by so many inspiring people from such diverse communities”.
Easter eggs
We received a lovely donation of Easter eggs from the Stainless Band company. They were distributed to the families that we support. We are very grateful for this donation which put smiles on the children’s faces.
Dementia Friendly
Dorota recently met the Dementia Friendly Keighley Team just as they moved into their brand-new office space which is now right next to the bus station next to the Airedale Shopping Centre in Keighley. They play a vital role in Keighley supporting residents who have dementia, but also their families. We are working towards becoming a Dementia Friendly Centre.
More work needs to be done but we will work hard towards it.
